// VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN RESEARCH INSPIRATION //

In "Critical Wayfinding”, an article by Ellen Lupton and J. Abbott Miller (published in

The Edge of the Millennium, ed. Susan Yelavich; New York: Whitney Library of Design, 1993, pp 220-232), shares:

“Graphic design, as the interface between people and products, information

and environments; has the potential to interpret, revise, and critique the world

as well as to simplify and condense it. The notion that design should be transparent, and that we are simply legibility and problem-solvers, offers a recessive and reactive role for design that is ultimately disempowering.”
